2008 – A Bad Year for Estate Agents
July 26th, 2008Up until recently estate agents have been having a great time with property prices increasing, sales up and many new estate agents opening up and jumping on the bandwagon of easy money. However this trend has now changed and with half of all spanish estate agents closing down in 2007 this number is set to rise in 2008. A third of all french estate agents are forecast to close in 2008 with the expected turbulent year ahead for the housing market. The markets are stagnent and falling with very few properties selling, buyers are waiting for prices to fall and mortgages are becoming harder to obtain with the credit crunch crisis. Estate agents are set for a very tough year with fewer sales and more closures.
